Glowlist

How Glowlist works

From “where do I start” to booked in minutes

Finding a makeup artist you can trust shouldn’t mean endless DMs and crossed fingers. Here’s how we make it simple, safe and lovely.

01

Discover artists you love

Browse real portfolios and verified reviews. Filter by area, specialty, budget and availability to shortlist the artists who fit your vision.

02

Chat and agree the look

Message artists directly to share inspiration and confirm the details — no swapping numbers, everything stays in one thread per booking.

03

Book a real time slot

Choose from the artist’s live availability, add your address for on-location, and secure it — with a deposit or by paying in full, whichever your artist asks. Trial and wedding-day can be linked.

04

Glow, then rebook

Nothing to pay on the day. Once your appointment’s done you confirm it with a one-time code, any remaining balance is taken automatically, and you can leave a review and rebook in a couple of taps.

The money, plainly

How payment works

No surprises, no chasing, nothing to pay on the day. Here’s the whole thing in plain English.

1

When you book, you pay — not the artist

The client always pays to secure the booking. Some artists ask for a deposit (say 30%), some ask for the full amount upfront — you’ll see exactly which, and exactly how much, before you confirm. Artists never pay anything to be booked.

2

Your money is held safely in the middle

What you pay doesn’t go straight to the artist. It’s held securely by Glowlist while your appointment happens — so the artist knows their time is protected, and you know your money isn’t gone if something goes wrong.

3

Nothing to pay on the day

No cash, no card machine, no awkward transfer at the end. If you paid a deposit, the rest is simply taken later from the same card you booked with.

4

The code is how you say “all done ✨”

After your appointment, the artist marks it complete. A one-time code then appears in your Glowlist bookings — read it out to your artist. When they enter it, any remaining balance is taken from your card and the artist gets paid. Forget to share it? Everything completes automatically 24 hours later, so no one is left chasing.

5

Change of plans?

Cancel within your artist’s free-cancellation window (you’ll see it before you book — usually 24–72 hours’ notice) and everything you paid comes straight back. And if something isn’t right, raise an issue from your booking and payment is paused while we look into it.

Artists — a deposit is never something you pay

The deposit comes from your client, to you — it protects your time, not the other way round. Joining Glowlist is free, listing your services is free, and there is nothing to pay to receive a booking. Money only ever flows one way: from the client, to you, minus our small commission. You choose your own deposit amount in your studio settings — anything from a small percentage up to payment in full at booking.

Trust & safety

Built to protect both sides

Verified artists

Identity and portfolio checks before an artist can take bookings.

Protected payments

Everything you pay is held securely, and only released to the artist once your appointment’s complete.

Real reviews only

Reviews can only be left after a completed booking — so ratings you can actually trust.

Fair cancellation

Clear, upfront policies for both sides. You always see the terms before you pay.
